Church Fork Peak

There are two trails: one is short but steep, the other is long but easier

 Hike Time (roundtrip): 4.0 to 6.5 hours
 Distance (roundtrip): 7.6 miles
 Elevation Gain: 2256 feet
Main Aspect: South
 Climb Rate: 594 feet per mile
 Average Grade: 11%
Notes: The Burch Hollow trail is a steady climb to the ridge overlooking Parleys Canyon. It’s mostly open, so you can see your goal most of the way.
Trailhead Elevation: 6050 ft
Trailhead Outhouse: No
Distance from Fee Station: 3.7 miles
Area: Mill Creek Canyon
Area Location: East on 3800 S in Salt Lake County
Area Fee: $3
Dogs Allowed: Yes
Notes: This is a great place to start the Pipeline trail. There is room for lots of cars, but no amenities, there are plenty nearby though.
Destination Elevation: 8306 Feature: Peak
Notes: Church Fork Peak is often overshadowed by Granduer Peak to the southwest and Mt Aire to the east. The last section from both directions requires some routefinding skills. Solitude is highly probable.

 Distance (roundtrip): 4.4 miles
 Elevation Gain: 2356 feet
Main Aspect: South
 Climb Rate: 1071 feet per mile
 Average Grade: 20%
Notes: The trail goes through a conifer forest before it really starts to climb. When you see a sign that says the trail goes left, you need to go right to get to Church Fork Peak.

Distance from Fee Station: 2.4 miles
Area: Mill Creek Canyon
Area Location: East on 3800 S in Salt Lake County
Area Fee: $3
Dogs Allowed: Yes
Notes: Turn at the Church Fork Picnic area and drive all the way to the back. The trailhead is in the last parking lot.
