International Peace Gardens

The International Peace Gardens are a beautiful and unique attraction in the Salt Lake Valley, featuring maintained gardens representing 28 countries from around the world. This paved trail is suitable for hikers of all skill levels and is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.

Trailhead

International Peace Gardens is located at Jordan Park at 1060 S 900 W in Salt Lake City, UT.

From I-15 in Salt Lake

Take Exit 305C for 1300 South.
Turn west onto 1300 South and continue for 0.7 miles.
Turn north onto 900 West and continue for 0.5 miles.
Turn west into Jordan Park on Peace Gardens Lane and continue to the parking area near the entrance to the International Peace Gardens (40.747075, -111.919406).
The Hike

Begin walking toward the gated entrance to the Peace Gardens, just north of the parking area. The paved path in the gardens forms a loop, and you can walk in either direction. The path passes by each of the individual gardens with smaller paths entering many of them.

Explore the various gardens and side paths as you wish. Following the main path back to the parking lot is about 0.4 miles, but it is easy to walk in excess of one mile by entering the various gardens.

Those wishing to walk further can wander out into Jordan Park or access the scenic Jordan River Parkway Trail, which follows the west side of the Peace Gardens.
